چکیده
To have a better understanding of the impact PETRONAS oil and gas platform on commercial fisheries activities, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT) examined two approaches which are data collection from satellite fishermen anglers. By profiling anglers who utilize reefed structures for fishing, it can determine if design location reef platforms will benefit or negatively impacts those fisherman. Furthermore, this assessment be contributing to knowledge regarding value offshore as resources. Collectively, apparent fishing activity included, combined with findings in reefing viability index help inform PETRONAS’s future decommissioning decisions may proposed locations rigs-to-reefs candidates would groups, further qualifying them appropriate artificial candidates. The method applied study is approaching by using known Google’s Global Fishing Watch technology, one applications measure efforts around globe. effort selected twelve was analyzed January 2012 December 2018. Using total estimation fish cost (in ringgit, MYR [RM]) Peninsular Asset, Sabah Sarawak Operation region. were extracted every month 2016 2018 National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration database. Most that show high frequency vessels year KP-A, BG-A PL-B. estimated values fishes varied between platforms, ranged RM 10,209.92 89,023.78. Thus, in-situ serve multi-purposes locals well country. current has successfully assessed potential area Malaysian environment greater representativeness paper focused its new ground.

Safety assessment of offshore structure
Reliability of a system is the probability that it will function as intended for the required period of time. The opposite of reliability is failure probability per unit time or over time, such as a life cycle. Following a review of existing reliability codes and approaches, comprehensive approaches to assess the reliability of offshore structures are described, including probabilistic analysis...

Historically, stock assessments of Atlantic blue marlin (Makaira nigricans) and white marlin (Tetrapturus albidus), conducted under the auspices of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), have been restricted to production modeling approaches. Production models are used due to the unique fisheries and biological aspects of the species which result in a pauci...
متن کاملApplication to fishery stock assessment
We consider a Monte Carlo Markov chain (MCMC) algorithm for fisheries stock assessment. The biomass of this stock at a given year could be modeled as a nonlinear function of the biomass and catch for the two previous years, of different parameters (recruitment, growth rate, natural mortality rate). Given a time series of annual catch and effort data, we would like to achieve the best fitting be...
